Indonesian Contraceptive Mix: Policy Failure or Policy Denial?

In 2010 Hull and Moseley were asked by UNFPA and the Indonesian Family Planning Program (BKKBN) to advise on ways to "revitalise" the contraceptive delivery system across the Indonesian Archipelago. One of the key recommendations was to reduce reliance on injectables in the contraceptive mix. This recommendation was accepted by the BKKBN and UNFPA leadership. Nearly a decade and a half later it is time to consider the success or otherwise of the implementation of this recommendation.
