The seminar describes the methodology and content of the 2010 Greater Jakarta Transition to Adulthood Survey and presents results provided in the first policy briefs from the study. The study is the first comprehensive survey in Indonesia focusing on the lives of young adults including their human capital outcomes and their family formation behaviour. The study examines these outcomes in the context of the parental background of the respondents and their political and religious affiliations, their voting behaviours, gender aspirations, and their health and wellbeing. In this presentation, preliminary results on education, employment, and exposure to media will be presented.
