Head of Demography elected to IUSSP Council

Associate Professor Edith Gray

ANU was well represented in the recently announced 2017 Council and Committee on Nominations Election Results for the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population. Head of School, Associate Professor Edith Gray was elected as a Council Member-at-Large, ANU Graduate and past ANU academic Professor Mohammad Jalal Abbasi-Shavazi was elected as Council member for Asia and Oceania, and Professor Terence Hull was elected for the 2021 Committee on Nominations. Associate Professor Gray said she was looking forward to working with the Council to guide the scientific program of the IUSSP, and that having two ANU graduates on the Council reflected the international reputation of Demography at ANU.
