ADSRI Director appointed to Ministerial Advisory Council on Skilled Migration

ADSRI Director, Peter McDonald, has been appointed as a Member of the Ministerial Advisory Council on Skilled Migration (MACSM) from 1 July 2012 to 30 June 2014. In addition to Professor McDonald, MACSM consists of senior business leaders, national secretaries of trade unions and representatives from state and territory governments. The Council will provide advice to the Minister for Immigration and Citizenship on Australia’s temporary and permanent skilled migration programs, including the impact of skilled migration on the Australian economy and labour market, the size and composition of the annual migration program, and the contribution of skilled migration to net overseas migration.
