Video now available: Distinguished public lecture presented by Prof Sharon Sassler
Friday 10 August 2018

Prof Sharon Sassler, ANU Visiting Fellow from Cornell University, recently presented a public lecture on 'Early Career Transitions in STEM Employment: Processes Shaping Retention and Satisfaction.'

Drawing on her research in progress, Prof Sassler presented results suggesting that in most STEM fields, transitions into the STEM labor force have narrowed, but that women and minorities continue to experience employment in STEM jobs differently than do men. Results were drawn from quantitative and qualitative projects of mid-career and recent STEM graduates.

A video of the public lecture in its entirety is now available.

The public lecture was presented with funding support from ANU Gender Institute, ANU School of Demography and ANU Research School of Social Sciences.
