Prestigious population award to Peter McDonald

Peter McDonald

We congratulate Professor Peter McDonald, former Director of ADSRI, on being awarded the Irene B. Taeuber Award presented by the Population Association of America (PAA) at its annual meeting on Friday 1 May 2015.

The Irene B. Taeuber Award is presented biennially in recognition of an unusually original or important contribution to the scientific study of population or for an accumulated record of  exceptionally sound and innovative research.

A list of past winners can be found on the PAA website. These include Emeritus Professor John C. Caldwell, another distinguished ANU demographer, who won the award in 1985.
