The new Australian Data Archive service was launched by the ANU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ian Young on 11 August 2011. The launch was attended by over 100 researchers, former archive staff, representatives of funding bodies and the Australian Academy of Social Sciences. The new site incorporates the former Social Sciences Data Archive, with many new subject areas and tools available for Australian researchers.
