Twenty academic staff members from Yangon University in Myanmar visited ANU for a intensive two week course (September/October 2015) in demography and social research methods. They were from both the physical and social sciences and included professors and heads of department.
This is the third of four groups from Yangon University to complete the course organised by Associate Professor (Adjunct) Helen James from the Department of Anthropology in the ANU College of Asia and the Pacific. Dr James was formerly with the School of Demography.
Staff from the School of Demography were involved in teaching the course along with staff from the ANU Colleges of Arts and Social Sciences; Asia and the Pacific; and Medicine, Biology and Environment.
