PhD graduate wins award

Guangyu Zhang, who received his doctorate at ADSRI, was awarded the 2013 Ken Foreman Award by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).

The Ken Foreman Award is aimed at recognising methodological contribution to the ABS and technical ability, and providing professional development opportunities to methodologists with further potential. As part of the award, Guangyu is looking forward to participating in the 27th International Population Conference in Korea as well as visiting a number of national statistical organisations overseas, including in Austria, Canada, the UK and USA. 

Guangyu's supervisors for his doctorate were Zhongwei Zhao, Terry Hull and Heather Booth.
