Together with host, the ANU School of Demography, the Committee of the 22nd Australian Population Association (APA) Conference invites researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and students to join us in Canberra to explore the theme “Creating Demographic Resilience.” As demographic change accelerates across Australia and the wider Asia–Pacific region, this conference provides a leading forum to share research, analyse emerging trends, and discuss new strategies for strengthening population wellbeing, equity, and sustainability.
Hosted at the Australian National University’s Kambri Precinct, the 2026 conference will bring together a vibrant community of demographers and allied experts committed to advancing population studies and shaping informed public policy.
