Population and Policy: Addressing population change

The Australian Population Association and the Conference Organising Committee are looking forward to welcoming you to Canberra in November 2022 for the 20th Australian Population Association Conference.

The Australian Population Association Conference is an opportunity to share the latest research and exchange ideas. This conference will also be an opportunity to showcase some of the incredible contributions that demographers have made to understanding the COVID-19 pandemic. The Conference theme is Population and policy: making people count.

With Canberra as the host city, the conference will highlight demography’s contribution to policy matters. In these uncertain times, a strong evidence base is more important than ever. This conference will showcase new research that addresses the wide array of population issues. In addition, the conference will have a range of networking opportunities and social events. We encourage academics, planners, policymakers, students and anyone with an interest in population-related issues to meet and discuss the issues with us.
