Heather and Francesco

School of Demography PhD student Meg Kingsley presented some findings from her research to policy makers at the Department of Social Services National Longitudinal Data Conference. Meg’s presentation highlighted the need to further understand inequalities in the labour market for parents, and the implications for children’s social and emotional development. To an audience of over 100 policy makers and researchers, Meg showed how mothers’ work hours and mothers’ emotional distress might be related to children’s socio-emotional health. Further information about the conference can be found here.
