New Director for ADSRI

Professor James Raymer has been appointed as Director of ADSRI for 3 years from 1 July 2013. He has taken over the role from Professor Peter McDonald who has been leading Demography at ANU since 1996 and established ADSRI in 2007. Professor McDonald has been awarded a strategic appointment in the Crawford School of Public Policy at ANU by the Vice Chancellor and will be focusing on population policy, Indonesian demography and ageing.

Professor Raymer came to ADSRI at the start of the year from the University of Southampton and is looking forward to leading ADSRI over the next 3 years with the help of the new leadership team:

Deputy Director Education – Associate Professor Robert Ackland (Edith Gray will reume this role in 2014)
Masters Coordinator – Professor Zhongwei Zhao
HDR Convenor – Dr Iwu Dwisetyani Utomo
Research Coordinator – Associate Professor Heather Booth
Outreach Coordinator – Dr Steven McEachern
