WD Borrie Prize (Australian Population Association)

Amina Keygan, distance PhD Candidate in ADSRI, has been awarded the 2012 WD Borrie Prize by the Australian Population Association for the best population related essay in the PhD field.  Her paper, 'Australian men's childbearing intentions: A review of the literature', used family formation data from the Household, Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia (HILDA) Survey to analyse whether men were 'missing the target' of their intended family sizes. Her results demonstrate that between 2001-2010, men (and women) were not achieving their intended family sizes by roughly .5 of a child.
